The Nebraska ChildFind process requires Hampton Public School to locate, identify, and evaluate all children with disabilities residing in our district boundaries. This process includes all students who attend public or private schools, migrant or homeless students, and students who are wards of the state.

It is important to note that ChildFind is a screening process that identifies children who have a disability or are suspected of having a disability and may need special education and related services. Children identified through the ChildFind process must be assessed to confirm eligibility.

Nebraska ChildFind provides information to parents, school personnel, and service providers on child development and special education for children from birth (or date of diagnosis) to age 21.  ChildFind also helps parents access information on rights and resources to help them advocate for an appropriate education for their child.

If your child has trouble learning, speaking, hearing, seeing, walking, or taking part in activities with other children please contact Hampton Public School.  Our staff will help guide your family through the ChildFind process.
